Overview

Halliwells is a leading commercial law firm with offices in Manchester, Liverpool, London and Sheffield. The firm has grown rapidly in recent years, and embraces an internal culture of motivation, commitment, enthusiasm, and reward.

Halliwells asked Inconnection to devise an event which would both motivate and reward their Senior Partners. The firm wanted to create an event that would provide an environment conducive to strategic thinking.

Inconnection were asked to manage the Senior Partners’ conference, the first event of this kind for Halliwells. The event for 135 delegates and 75 companions was held in the beautiful city of Prague, with the objective of bringing the key members of the firm together to consider the future of Halliwells and celebrate their success and achievements to date.

The Solution

The delegates arrived at the 5-star Prague Marriott Hotel on Thursday evening to find a room gift of a beautiful coffee-table book about Prague together with a personalised welcome pack waiting in their rooms.

The hotel was well located for a short stay, right in the heart of the city, giving guests the opportunity to maximise the enjoyment of their stay.

While the conference event “Shaping the Future of Halliwells” was taking place on Friday, companions could take part in a guided walking tour to explore the city of Prague. The keynote motivational speaker at the conference was Bear Grylls, an inspirational individual who at 23, became the youngest Briton to climb Mount Everest.

In the evening, a gala dinner was held in the stunning Art Noveau ‘French Restaurant’, just minutes walk from the hotel.

The Results

The conference provided an inspirational setting for a focused and productive conference, together with a relaxed social programme for Senior Partners and companions. The event fulfilled the client’s objective of mixing a motivational business agenda with a rewarding opportunity to socialise.
