Overview

Due to the success of the 1st trip of this kind to Switzerland, Bell Micro and IBM approached Inconnection again to combine a first-class conference event with a weekend of skiing as an opportunity to reward their top customers in a relaxed setting.

Bell Micro is an international, value-added distributor of a wide range of products, services and solutions.

The Solution

The group of 50 flew to Turin airport and transferred to the Olympic ski resort of Sestrière, where they stayed at the Grand Hotel Principi di Piemonte. [Photo]

The next day, the conference was staged in the hotel, with opportunities for one-to-one meetings in the afternoon.

After a day in conference, delegates welcomed the opportunity to get out and enjoy the snow on a snowshoe excursion to a chalet restaurant on the slopes for dinner.  Exhilarating return transfers were organised on snowmobiles.

At the weekend, the guests took to the slopes.  Ski equipment hire, lift passes and lunch vouchers had been pre-arranged.  Ski instruction at various levels had also been organised.  A well-earned gala dinner was enjoyed on Saturday evening, followed by a nightclub for those who wished to sample more après-ski!

On Sunday, ski instructors and mountain guides took groups out on the slopes for the day, finishing with an evening guided torchlight descent down to a welcome glass of mulled wine and traditional food at a local restaurant.  The evening was rounded off with a spectacular firework display.

Presentation gift boxes of grappa and a framed photo of the group on the slopes awaited guests in their rooms on the final day.

The Results

The whole programme delivered the right balance of business and leisure activities, with all delegates enjoying the mix of information-exchange and social opportunities.
